Today on Shmee150.co.uk I will feature 2 cars which do not need any introduction, the post is totally dedicated to the car that helps us remember the greatness of Enzo Ferrari himself, the aptly named Ferrari Enzo.
I am talking about the Enzo, the craziest Ferrari ever made. It is the car which can still beat the Aventador at top speed (even if only by 1 mile per hour). In 2004 when the Enzo was released it was the first car in history to require the new owners to be chosen and there only 399 of these lucky people in the world. It is a collector's dream, everybody knows its performance figures and when released, it made the Porsche Carrera GT look hopeless.
2 years later, in late 2005, Ferrari made an even more extreme car, although a strange thing happened, Ferrari gave that honour to their sister company, Maserati. This made for the MC12, the fastest Maserati to ever be made as well as making the Maserati MC12 more rare then the Enzo itself with only 50 to have been made. A few people say that the MC12 is overpriced and just a detuned version of the Enzo but at the track it proves itself and that it is a legend. Everyone loves these 2 cars and in in recent days, our friend alexsmolik had his ride in an enzo which he considered his best moment ever!
The Enzo held the crown of the fastest car at Ferrari's Fiorano test track but after six years it was broken by the baby Ferrari, the 430 Scuderia - a strange name but a great car. It was the first V8 Ferrari to do 200mph and we can call the 430 Scuderia by the name The Epic Sisters Killer! I agree that this baby cannot match the greatness of the epic sisters, all are driver's cars and can disappear from your eyes in just a blink. The 430 Scuderia is no way nearly as expensive as the other two but Ferrari is a company which is always giving us better and faster cars.
The title was then taken away from the Scuderia by a very loud sounding and awesome looking car, the 599 GTO. Titled with the GTO moniker, an award which none of the Enzo, MC12 or Scuderia could achieve and only three cars ever have done; the 250 GTO, 288 GTO and the new 599 GTO. It is not only the most advanced and fastest Ferrari to date, but it is a hypercar that can be used every day of the week. With 599 built, it is not the rarest car in the world but every person loves the sound it makes - it is the best yet! The car is so hard to control without traction control so Jeremy Clarkson thought it was trying to kill him but everybody that has driving it has fallen in love, Chris Harris admitting that the 599 GTB was the perfect chassis for the new GTO.
I'm really sorry to say that due the look and performance of the GTO I forgot that I'm writing about the EPIC Sisters! The GTO really proves its tag as a true successor to the Ferrari Enzo and Maserati MC12.
