On July 21, 1904 in Ostend, Belgium Louis Rigolly stepped into his Gobron-Brillié ready to drive down the Ostend-Newport road.
This was no ordinary drive however, as Louis Rigolly pushed his 15-liter Gobron-Brillié to an unheard of 103.56 MPH.

LaVallee, a seven-time Winter X Games Medalist and champion snowcross racer, will jump his snowmobile alongside Robbie Maddison, who will pilot his motorcycle, as both athletes simultaneously jump over 300 feet of water from the North park to the South park at the Embarcadero Marina Park in the downtown area of San Diego Bay. LaVallee will attempt to break his own record of 361 feet and Maddison will be aiming to eclipse the current record of 391 feet.

Smart alternative to drinking and driving in Canada were just posted on Autos.ca
Rather than wonder if it's okay to drive when you've had some alcohol, take other measures. The best course of action is either to put a completely sober driver behind the wheel, or spend the night wherever you are.

Find your community on its website and carry the phone number with you when you go out. When you call, a team of volunteers will come to you – whether you’re at a bar or a private party – and will drive both you and your vehicle either to your home, or to your final destination for the night. It’s free, but if you give a donation, it will go to a local charity.
Taxi Guy – Call one number – 1-888-TAXIGUY – and you’re connected to a national network of 425 taxicab companies, for a total of 17,500 cabs in over 700 cities and towns. You can buy “Taxi Dollars” through the website that you can tuck in your wallet for emergencies or give as gifts, redeemable only for cab fare. Smartphone apps are available through the website.

the Grand National Roadster Show is in one month, in Pomona, on Jan 27-29th
This year the GNRS is celebrating the 1932 Ford, of course, the GNRS is typically celebrating the 32 Ford, not exclusively, but it's the favorite car among Roadster Show attendees.
