Ferdinand Porsche: A short obituary of a Legend

The motoring world has has been mourning the loss of a great designer.

Ferdinand Alexander ‘Butzi’Porsche passed away yesterday aged 76. Grandson of the founder, also called Ferdinand, he was most famous for designing the 911 which has been in production for 49 years and still continues to be the car of choice for driving enthusiasts.

Other achievements included the design of the competition
race cars and Porsche Design accessories.

A memorial service is set to take place in Stuttgart.

R.I.P Ferdinand Porsche 1935-2012

Below is a video by TheCaraf, detailing the different models of the 911 in a honour of the late Ferdinand Porsche. Its a great video, and shows, even more than before, that Ferdinand Porsche, the inventor, innovator and father of the 911 will be missed, but his legacy shall live on. R.I.P
