Shmee150's 2nd Birthday Special

Written by Harri@Shmee150

Today on Shmee150 I'm not going to talk about a car, it's going to be about the guy who is behind Shmee150, Tim Burton.

It's Shmee150's 2nd birthday today.

The career all started with a video of a Ferrari 458 Italia at a Top Gear event in London but since then he's found lots of rare and very special cars, including the Huayra, Zondas, McLaren F1 and many others including the Ferrari 250 GTO below. He is also a supercar owner, he owns a pretty cool Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster.

In only 2 years he has made 840 videos on YouTube and reached a total of 15 million video views. He has 18,000 subscribers on YouTube and more than 6,000 fans on Facebook and has visited almost all of the major supercar spotting countries and captured many of the rare cars in the World on his camera. Tim Burton is a great and funny person, he has a specific uniform for spotting and every supercar owner feels happy to have words with him:

His attire for car spotting is his unique shorts and well-known light blue shirt:

This is Tim Burton with his 'Shmeemobile'. He actually also likes to his bicycle for spotting too and he thinks that the bike is the best toy for London. You always see his magic but you never see how he makes this happen with the help of his brilliant camera.

This is a pic of Tim Burton aka Shmee150 while shooting his favourite event, Wilton House Supercars. He was snapped by Sam Moores, a great photographer.

In his 2 years of car filming, he's been to Monaco, Marbella, Paris, USA, Dubai, Frankfurt, Geneva, and more and has worked with some of the best guys like alexsmolik and marchettino. Shmee150 videos have also been on the frontpage of some major websites in this time, including GTspirit, Autogespot, Jalopnik, Autoblog and many more.

When he was 17, his first car was a Renault Clio 1.2 - well before the YouTube days. Then after some time he moved to a German car and bought a BMW 123d Coupe. After he started shmee150 he then bought another German car but a convertible, an Audi S5 Cabriolet. That was when other supercar owners thought he was a bit strange to own an S5 and still be spotting them!

Then MrShmee150 got something really cool, he bought his Glacial Blue Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster. Here is a special video from Tim for the fans of his V8V, aka the Shmeemobile.

Honestly, the success of Shmee150 is only possible with the help and support of you guys, a huge thanks for supporting throughout 2010 and 2011. The year of 2012 is going to be the most exciting yet, we promise.
