Recap: Furtive eGT Electric Hypercar - Track Ride and Shots

The Furtive eGT is an electric supercar/hypercar from Exagon Motors, based near Magny-Cours race circuit, the former French F1 track. The car itself is expected to cost in the €350-400,000 bracket and packs some serious power and technical statistics.

I was taken for laps in both this car and also a few in the McLaren MP4-12C and at the time the drama of the MP4-12C seemed to make it the clear winner by far; it was only looking back that I discovered the lap time you see here is an entire 2 seconds faster than the 12C managed! It's mind-blowing as an experience to see simply how fast it gets around.

During the ride I have had to zoom in the video so that the interior is not shown (still a prototype) but it is absolutely incredible how flat to the road the car stays by having the battery weight and centre of gravity so low to the ground. But as you can see it's a fabulous vehicle and I truly believe they are onto something, if I had the spare money I'd seriously be considering one of the 150 they are planning to make each year when it enters production early in 2013.
