The Cygnet is a rather interesting city car produced by Aston Martin. Seen by many as essentially a re-badged and reupholstered Toyota IQ, this car does pull different opinions and seems to provoke certain questions such as, 'Is this a real Aston?' and 'Why is it so expensive' among many car enthusiasts.
While many purists refuse to accept the Cygnet as a real thoroughbred Aston Martin, we must remember that the cygnet was not designed as a sports car but as a niche filler.
Love it or hate it, this video of a Cygnet drifting in a car park is something to behold.
Next up is a 'Shmeecase' of an Aston Martin Cygnet, here you can hear the engine noise, admire the sumptuous interior and listen to Shmee150's excellent review of the car.
Although the car doesn't post super fast 0-60 times or have a triple figured horse power rating, it does do what it was designed for and it does it well.
It's great for the inner city, and Astons are always known for their great interiors and the Cygnet has a lovely interior. All supplemented by a very economical, and peppy engine.
For many, this car may just be a Toyota in designer clothes, but at the end of the day it's been signed off by Aston Martin. It's a Marmite situation, albeit in Toyota IQ size.
