Tunnel blasting. The art of down shifting to a suitable gear and accelerating hard within limits through a tunnel, creating an automotive noise that bounces of the walls and rather abruptly into your ears. Well that's my definition.
Below is a video from YouTuber Jorrie2 of exacty what I mean, and involving 53 supercars, yes 53! After meeting up in a pre determined area, the cars all drove off and the drivers happily floored their noise pedals for our enjoyment.
The next video shows a ride in a Lamborghini Aventador, and highlights its powerful acceleration in which the videographer at Zelluscars described as 'so violent I was stuck at the bottom of the seat'. We like that kind of acceleration.
Due to the recent sunny weather in parts of the UK, It has made me think about all things summery. Shorts, sunglasses, sun cream, convertibles. Many cars come in a convertible form to supplement the hardtop. This allows the manufacturers to cater to a wider range of tastes. For example, the ferrari 458 and the 458 spyder. But what I have here is not a convertible per se. Its a KTM X-Bow. Probably as open air in a road legal car as you can get. This video was filmed last summer by Shmee150 in Monaco. It shows the track-but-road-legal toy driving around, and really is the essence of open air driving. Ice cream anyone?
