P4/5 Competizione laps the 'ring faster than a 599XX

James Glickenhaus, the ultimate petrolhead? I think so.

He was a man with an ambition, and ambition to make his very own, unique Ferrari hyper-car based on the incredible Enzo, which he did, it was known as the P4/5.

But, after creating this fabulous piece of machinery, he wasn't satisfied, so he set out to make a racing version of it, known as the P4/5 Competizione, an all carbon fibre, hardcore, ROAD LEGAL race car. It follows the design cues of the P4/5, hence keeping the "P4/5" name.

To say it was built by a small team of mechanics, it is an incredible achievement to have made it around the green hell in 6 minutes and 51 seconds, a whole 7 seconds faster than Ferrari's own 599XX which had an army of technicians and drivers behind it.

All I can offer Mr Glickenhaus is the upmost congratulations on this fabulous achievement, especially when this was done during the Nurburgring 24hr, a very busy race series, and the XX's lap was done on a closed track!

From now, I shall let the pictures do the talking.

Thanks for reading, stay tuned in the future for more updates.
